    Thanks for sharing. I've been researching on several options, including installing handlebar risers. Which I've come to know are a bad idea as it can add additional force on the handlebar joints in case of a fall. This contraption seems like the least invasive option. Will definitely try this.

  • @ShadowVonChadwick
    @ShadowVonChadwick 2 дні тому

    Just started getting familiar riding mine. Having a problem with break peddle height, toes are resting there without feeling it, except the drag. Will try adjusting. Feels like I might need bar risers, 20mm perhaps. Have the seat in the high position & my long legs still feel a bit cramped, will remove the rubbers. Tyre pressure, 32psi seem a tad high. Yes, right for highways, but I love dirt back roads & plan for them. Paid for sump/engine guards and a taller screen a month ago, no word yet. Here in Australia the price is doubled, feeling a bit "had". Love the fuel injection, don't expect the snappiness like my KLX400e even though they produce the same hp & the 400 pulls so hard even off idle, at the cost of k/lt. I'm a happy chappy & glad to send my money there rather than China. Cheers from downunder....🖖

    Been a fan for a long time, but sometimes I can't help but feel that you are out of touch with reality. A normal customer shouldn't have to retighten all the nuts and bolt of a 3 lakh rupees bike that he just bought. Or have to touch up their bad paint jobs. Maybe it works in a vacuum, but when we have other manufactures producing quality products for far less money, bad practices like this need to be called out. Creators like you need to hold bands accountable. Otherwise, you just come off as fan-boyish and biased. If my memory serves right, you made a video where you swore the 411 had no fueling issues and claimed it was caused because people didn't know how to ride the bike properly(?). Turns out it did have a fueling issue after all Love you and your content, man, I really hope you take this as some constructive feedback and continue making great content. Cheers

    A very good video with precise analysis. I have now driven just over 1000 km, a good 800 of them with my wife. The chassis is excellent, beating all the enduro bikes I've owned in over 50 years. The engine needs a bit of revving, then it's really good, but it's not a long-stroker that has steam from the lowest revs. And, it is sensationally economical. A really good motorcycle, regardless of the price.

    Dear ON TWO WHEELS BEN, can you please check at least the exhaust valve clearance when bike is at normal operating temp. I am running the Kent cam and i installed the Hitchcock's performance valves setting inlet at 0.08mm and exhasut at 0.18mm When engine is hot (oil temp about 70 Celcius and cylinder head about 100 Celcius) the inlet and exhast valve clearance increased by +0.08 mm as when measured the inlet is at about 0.15mm having the filler passing loosly and exhaust is at 0.25 again having filler passing loosly I have no valvetrain nose when engine is cold but after 5 kilometers in traffic i can clearly hear at least the exhasut valve ticking. If also your engine when hot increase the valve clearances i will be more relax and not purchase replacement cylinder head.

    • @ONTWOWHEELSBEN
      @ONTWOWHEELSBEN 6 днів тому

      Dear friend, the exhaust and inlet valves and cylinder have different expansion rates and SADLY on the Himalayan the clearances become loose instead of tight , but this is taken into account by the manufacturer so there is no need to worry about the clearance values mentioned by them . I tried all kinds of settings and settled with .08 and .23 ( at slightly warm , 3 minutes of idling ) for BEST performance. Anything more tight , and the bike felt like it lost steam . The bike WILL SOUND like a sewing machine with the aftermarket cams . There is nothing wrong with it.

Hitchcock UK send me a page from RE revising the exhasut valve clearance to 0.18mm i have post it to Royal Enfiel Ofiicial and Unofficial forums and i can also sent it to you. You are correct, i have tried setting the exhasut valve to 0.15mm with no noticable change and to 0.13mm which makes noise much better when hot but you are right when exhaust valve set too low the bike loosing power and at 0.13mm it has rough idle when cold. I like your approach setting the valves at 0.08mm and 0.23mm after 3 minutes idling and i will do it.
